BOOMBOX

boombox

51 used speakers, paint, wood substrate, 96 x 96 x 4 (hlw)

Boombox is a three-dimensional wall-hanging construction, with a painted black surface embedded with found speakers that range in size from massive to mini. An exaggeration of what a killer sound system should look like. β€œAt the time, I started making this piece I was too poor to have a banging system in real life, so I fabricated a fake on to reflect my desire of what I really wanted to own.”
